This is the most expensive payment processor I have ever used. Loads of hidden fees, and terrible customer service.
They have double charged me for fees that they refuse to reverse, and no one will call me back.
Paya debited $64.50 per month from my bank account for over 7 years when I had no purchase transactions. They took over $7300 from my company before I realized who it was that was debiting the funds. They never informed me of my dormant status or contacted me directly. The information on my bank account portal didn’t have their name or contact information. It took me over a month to find them and talk to a representative. I cancelled my relationship with them and asked for a person to speak to about a refund. They’ve not responded.
Overcharge, hidden fees, crooks, be careful and this company doesn’t care about no one and they will screw you.
They allowed someone to try to scam me out of $200 by returning an item. I was never contacted, a purchase was never made for $200, and I never had a receipt for it anyways. They took out $28 anyways, and couldn’t take out the rest due to lack of money. They decided to let a scammer screw with my livelihood, and I’m disabled so I only get under $500 a month when not doing events. They need to be thorough, and contact when something like this happens instead of just letting it go through and the money being taken out. If they don’t do right by it, I will be switching to another platform, and finding a way to get my money back even if I have to get a lawyer.
Andrea S was very rude and didn’t want me to speak to a manager about my account I will not be doing business with this company anymore thank you for being rude and unprofessional on the phone and will also let my friends know that used this company to switch because I never been so lost for words and still no help
We have made the mistake of using this credit card machine from Payanywhere. This was to give my customers the option to pay for our services by credit card. The first transaction went great just as it should. Customer pay with card and money went right to my business account. Now here’s the MAJOR PROBLEM, we had the same customer pay with same card but for another job we did. Customer pays $8700 and it’s NOW BEEN A FULL MONTH AND THIS COMPANY WONT RELEASE OUR MONEY. They are thieves and they need to be stopped. Looks like they have been stealing money from people for 32 YEARS!!!! I
This company needs to come to an end. How they have been able to stay in business for 32 yrs is MIND BLOWING. IM GOING TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION AND BY THE LOOKS OF ALL THEIR REVIEWS I WONT BE HAVING ANY PROBLEMS GETTING a minimum of 2,000 signatures from the people PAY ANYWHERE has stolen money from. And I’m sure they’d all be more than happy to press charges.
Paya is a second rate business credit card processing company. They actually held a large credit card payment from a long term (20 years) customers of ours and wouldn’t release the funds even though our customer AND American Express approved the transaction! They wouldn’t release the payment in full until after we shipped the product! They made us jump through hoops and treated us like criminals as if we were acting in a fraudulent manner. This very unprofessional act costs us unnecessary time, labor and money!
I had Sage then Paya through my Hudson Limited ltd airporter transportation software subscription. Hudson spoke very highly of Sage. We had them for 14+ years with minimal interaction after sales except PCI Compliance. I terminated my merchant account through Hudson(same way it was setup – never spoke with Sage Sales Department; just submitted application provided by Hudson) in April 2021 as we were no longer processing transactions through Hudson. According to my call today, the account was never shut down. We have incurred monthly merchant fees and non-compliance fees. The names of the charges are so vague it is difficult to tell one merchant fees from another when they overlap. The agent I spoke with said that he would submit a request for a refund of all fees since April 2021 to the Sales Department. I asked if that was the same sales department that ignored the request to shut down the account through Hudson? He mumbled, “I don’t want to deal with this.” and hung up.
