I just found out that this company has been fraudulently charging me for 14 months, over $700. When I tried to contact them to get it refunded, they refuse to answer me. We started an application with this company and then they denied us. They said it was because of CBD we sell. When they charged my account, their designation is almost identical to my actual processor so I didn’t catch it for months. RUN away!!!

After I left this review they called me. Not to refund my money but to get me to not claim that it was fraud because they opened for accounts and denied me but did not close them all. Because apparently it’s our job to know what they’re doing in their computer system.

Still haven’t gotten any money back or a promise of any money back

Now they won’t even answer my phone calls or text messages

According to our lawyers;

The FTC is gathering complaints and due to current government situation, it is best to call and make a complaint, not online. They are wanting all that have issues/ bad business practices etc.

Once a number of people complain they will initiate a class action lawsuit. But I cannot be the only one to complain, if you really want to make claim, then call- 877-382-4357;

The actions of Slice Merchant Services/ Clover/ FDMS raise serious legal and regulatory concerns, including violations of federal and state consumer protection laws.

Specifically:

Unfair and Deceptive Practices (15 U.S.C. § 45 – Federal Trade Commission Act): The failure to disclose material contract terms, including hidden fees and non-cancelable lease provisions, constitutes deceptive business practices under the FTC Act.

Truth in Lending Act (15 U.S.C. § 1601 et seq.): The misleading nature of the financial obligations imposed by the contract raises concerns under TILA, which requires clear disclosure of credit terms.

Fraudulent Inducement: Misrepresentations regarding the contract’s terms, particularly with respect to cancellation policies, may give rise to claims of fraudulent inducement under common law and state consumer protection statutes.

Unconscionability (UCC § 2-302): The contract’s excessive early termination penalty may be deemed unconscionable under the Uniform Commercial Code, which prohibits enforcement of grossly unfair contractual terms.

I am a small business owner and I see that there is behavior trend that is absolutely against the law; let us build a group that is the way to get things done.

One here and there is not going to get anything done, please call and make that complaint; then call you state attorney general and state the same things. Remember these guys( government) work for us! 877-382-4357;

This is a completely private company. After signing the contract, they don’t care about you and stop responding. If I had read many reviews before signing the contract, I would have NEVER signed it. I wouldn’t even dare to sign with a big company, but they target small business owners thinking we’re easy prey. Please, do not conduct business like this! The salesperson who dealt with me is probably out there today, still deceiving others with that fake smile, just like they did with me.

If you’re considering Slice Merchant Services, think twice! As someone who worked for them, I quickly realized their business model is built on deception and high-pressure sales tactics that hurt both customers and employees.

48-Month Lease Traps – They push customers into long-term lease agreements, even when they could reuse existing equipment—but they won’t tell you that. Instead, they falsely claim new equipment is the only option.

Shady Sales Practices – They train sales reps to generate leads but then go behind their backs to pressure potential customers into signing contracts. I personally experienced this and felt like I was being used for free lead generation.

Lack of Transparency – Instead of giving honest options, they strong-arm small business owners into unnecessary, overpriced contracts.

I only made one sale because I couldn’t sell something I didn’t believe in. But what truly makes me feel ashamed is that, in the beginning, I tried to sign up friends and local small businesses I frequent multiple times a week. I genuinely thought I was helping them—thankfully, they didn’t sign up. Looking back, I realize I didn’t know any better at the time, but I’m so grateful they avoided this trap.

Business owners, do your research before signing anything. There are far better merchant service providers out there!

They have a bunch of hidden fees, if you want to cancel it a pain in the butt, I’ve tried to cancel for over 8 months now and they keep charging me, they don’t respond to emails, calls, messages. Then they call me, I tell them what’s going on and they give me the runaround. The worst company I have dealt with. They lease Clover POS equipment. It’s better to go to Clover directly you will save the hidden fees if you just lease it from Clover. Bad bad company.

Now I am left with a hefty bill to pay as I shut doors to my business and I cannot even afford to stay open and they tell you something and do another!!! DO NOT GET CONNED INTO USING SLICE!!! Go through direct POS merchants.

They are my new loan owners after American First sold the loan. There self service portal has to have a cell phone for verification. I use a landline, so they cant accommodate me. I have emailed them and received several reply’s they are working on it please be patient. Now they are telling me to call customer service, customer service says they cant help to call support. I have now written to them if they can’s fix their portal then send out a paper statement! Why should I have to explain proper procedure?? Today they sent a notice they received my payment which wasn’t even close to the correct amount. Overall I give this company an “F”.

They held the funds, charged me hidden fees, I asked several times before I signed up and they told me that there were no contract and that I could cancel anytime without paying a cancellation fee, I called to cancel and they want to charge me $400. The lady told me that what they said was over the phone and not written anywhere and that no one is going to go over the recordings

Absolute scam of a company. Salesman had a tablet with him for agreement, he verbally read it and let us skim some very shallow phrasing… signed one line and he duplicated the signature across other lines after we verbally agreed without being given the full story. Absolutely no mention of 48 month agreement, we were told we could cancel with no fee other than shipping card processing unit back to them… also said the plan included quickbooks software. So much of this is untrue. We spent hours with tech support trying to get quickbooks tied into it, just got tossed around from one tech to another with each one saying he wasn’t the right one to help us… then they hang up before a resolution is found. We told them we wanted to cancel and didn’t hear back for a long time until recently they contacted us to tell us we’d owe them $495 cancel fee and remainder of contract which totals about $3000. If there is a class action lawsuit in place, I would very much like to join that… if anyone has advice as to how I can partake in the class action, please provide links or something in a reply.

DO NOT USE THEM! i switching POS systems tomorrow. without any notification or communication they stopped making my deposits. as of right now they owe me over $2000. they are saying- they are trying to tell me its a CPI issue but the woman cannot explain or even tell me what i need to do to get MY money. i am now late on rent and payroll. i wish i read these reviews. i used to have toast and will be going back to them even if it costs more. i cant believe they would just keep my money like that!!

Do not work with this company or sign any contract. There sells representative are dirty and they will lie just to make you sign a 48 months contract. There devices are garbage and they will not work properly. You will try to leave and that’s when they will get you for $495 early termination fee. It’s a scam operation. They all working together and they don’t care what reason you have. Please stay away from slice.

They get you to join with them by telling you that you only have to pay them a monthly payment then once you get the many machines that they send you because they don’t communicate properly and you are constantly having to send the wrong equipment back in tell they finally give you the right one then they charge their monthly payment and then they also sign you up with clover and clover charges you as well then they require an app that charges you as well that they don’t tell you about then every single time you ask them to send you the contract they say they will and they never do then if you go on seasonal hold they keep charging you even though you’re business isn’t making money due to be a seasonal business then once you are back in business they take your money from you they don’t even allow you to make payments so if you are a small business trying to make money forget it because this company will just take all of your earnings away and then you will be left with nothing I do not recommend this company to anyone once my contract is up I will be going to a better American company not this international company

Very high pressure sales people that mislead you about the actual costs of their business. Before you know it your in a 4 year contract that costs $495 to get out of. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Same thing happened to me. After I sold my business I was told I have to pay a cancellation fee because I was on a 48 month contract. WRONG….I never agreed to a 48 month contract and since I purchased all the equipment with clover, the software was month to month…never was I advised…this company is a ripoff!!! I wish I would have done research on them before I signed up…please beware and dont use this company, they have hidden fees and will screw you….I will never use them again and I will warn everyone not to use them as well…

What a crappy company. I will be closing my bank account on Monday to stop slice from literally stealing more of my hard-earned money. Everything they say is short of the total truth. they have hidden charges that they wait a couple of months before charging you. when you call them they never return your call. I want to comment that I fell for the scam, today I only realized that I had a 48-month contract with Startslice.com and with First Data Merchant also 48 months, I always asked if there was a contract and they always told me no, then I trusted, I signed where They told me and so I fell for the scam, so I join an action lawsuit in case we can do it. Meanwhile we must enter the media, such as Facebook, Instagram and warn about this scam

Slice is total SCAM, they never reveal any high fees after you assigned to them. They started charging your bank account with no explanation.

These guys are a complete scam. Never a mention of a 48 month contract for a clover register you can buy for $400.00. Never a mention of an additional charge from Clover too. They even promised a $1000.00 rebate. Total scam. Stay away!

Wow wish had seen this months ago like back in November pretty sure I just got taken on a ride with this company too or the bunch of companies that make it up because there’s one that does the collection of payment there’s one that does the leasing of the equipment there’s one that does the services and apparently I’m contracted into all of them without realizing it that third-party salesman really pulled the wool over my eyes I’m only just today starting to find out how bad of a situation this really is but I’m sure I’m one like some of the others that just really got scammed

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER, STAY AWAY FROM THEM. THEY HAD ME TO SIGN UP WITH THEM BACK IN NOVEMBER 2021. THEY DECEIVE YOU WITH THEIR LIES BY TELLING YOU THEIR ARE NO HIDDEN FEE’S NOT TO MENTION THE FUNDS THAT THEY CONSTANTLY TAKE FROM YOUR ACCOUNT. I HAD TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT TO KEEP THEM FROM TAKING MONEY IT. THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR EQUIPMENT THEY SENT THAT I NEVER USED AND I TOLD THEM THAT MY BUSINESS WAS CLOSING. THEY STILL HAVE NOT PICKED UP THEIR EQUIPMENT AND THEY ARE TRYING TO CHARGE ME 500.00 FOR EARLY EQUIPMENT TERMINATION. IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO FILE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT LET ME KNOW.

Absolutely do not use this company!!! They are very bad business!!! They partner with Clover but yet the two got to different criteria when it comes to lease agreement. Clover will you that you got a 30 day trial with the device, but if you try it and decide you don’t want it within the 30 days Slice will charge you 500.00 to discontinue which makes no sense. I get a trial run with one, but the other is charging 500.00. Stay away from them!!

Horrible company, full of scam. They never explain to you fully of the charges for the customers in the amount of 3.99%. For a small business that is already struggling this will prevent customers from coming to your business. I wish I had read all these complaints before setting an account with them. Hope karma gets them and they lose all their business. This is so much stressful as no Manager or Supervisor contacts back to help or fix the issue. Biggest regret of my life and I will go to any length bringing many other people that have been scammed by this company to the court and settle this once and for all. This is some B.S to play with people at this time of age. I will make sure I put these complaints in every social media I can get and gather all the people that have been scammed by this company and pull them to the court once and for all. They will have to change their ways and stop playing around with businesses. All you guys that work for this company feel happy feeding your kids and family with stolen money from people whom are already struggling. Karma will get you guys all pretty soon. I will not settle until they take their equipment back and if I see single charge I will spend as much as I can on a lawyer and courts but will make sure you guys understand its not funny to scam people. First of all I will be going after whomever have given them the license to run this kind of business.

I switched to this company back in November of 2021. The sales team said no hidden fees from sling “BUT” they never explained the total charges from Clover the debit card processing company which they charge $99.00 terminal fee upfront and a $29.00 per month, and (FDMS) First Data Merchant Service if you don’t do a minimum amount of sales they charge your account upwards to $25.00.. All their transactions go through ACH Bank card. This company refuses to work with you and it seems to me they don’t give a darn about helping me and working with me. Also you are stuck with a four year contract. It’s all about thier bottom line. “MONEY”.. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

They started off OK But after a couple charge backs They began to hold funds. I’m a fairly new customer I had 20 transactions in a month time. With 2 small charged back amounts in which I didn’t dispute Because they were telephone transactions. Slice placed my other incoming transactions on hold after processing and withheld funds and closed my account. I don’t know of this to be of industry standards and could very well be.. Nevertheless in my opinion Slice sucks they have piss poor customer service. All of their representatives are Outsourced 3rd party individuals who have very little to no training at all in company policy and we’ll tell you anything 2 gets you off the phone. Like with many of the other Reviews I’ve read. There are definitely Hidden fees And non-disclosed Contractual Obligations. It is hard to speak with a live person to speak with a live person who knows what’s going on. All of their internal communication is through Email. Therefore you always have to wait, Or be called backTo have even the most Basic of information resolve. At the end of the day if you have other options Choose someone else for your for your processing needs.
