Stay away from this company. Take your business elsewhere. They continue to charge your account an insane amount every month while inactive.Lack of communication and once you do finally cancel, they continue to take the next month payment out of your account. They charge you 300+ for equipment that has not returned when they fail to notify you or send a return shipping label. Company is a Rip- Off. Also Eva Merchant has been in few class action lawsuits as well. Seriously take your business elsewhere.

Long term contract. The credit card machine never worked which forced us to go to another company. I canceled it over two years ago and they’re still charging me. This is the worsts credit card company I’ve ever dealt with. Never ever work with them. They’ve charged me thousands and aren’t supportive of small business. I will make it a point to share my experiences. I’m a salon owner and have the pleasure of interacting with many people and business owners.

I canceled my EVO Payments account in 2019. Due to the way the transactions are labeled on my bank statement, BKCD PROCESSING -FEES, it has slipped past three accounting firms and a new credit card processing company. It was just found 12/24/24 and I have been charged up to $234.70 per mount since 2019. I called to report it to EVO Payments and I was essentially brushed off with no solutions and no guaranty’s I was not going to be charged in the future. I have retained a legal firm.

I have used EVO Payments International for credit card processing for about 7 years. They kept charging me misc charges for things they never notified me for. I canceled my account in July 2024, but just recently (Oct,. 2024) got charges from them. When I called and told them I cancelled the account they informed me that they never cancelled it in July. Then they said I did not give 90 days notice from my initiation date (which renews yearly – not the 7 years I did business with them) and want to hit me with a $495 cancellation fee. DO NOT use EVO Payments International. They are deceptive and not worth it!!!

We have been trying for over 1 year to get our problems addressed and they literally leave me on hold for 4 or 5 hours to eventually hang ip on me with no resolution! This is the absolute worst company ever!

For over a year I had been calling asking them to correct my address with PCI compliance online so I could honestly say that all the information was correct. They kept giving me the run around and never made the correction. The online portal would not allow address changes and I had no other recourse than to rely on them making the correction. A couple of their employees did promise to make the correction, but never did. All this time they were charging $49.95 per month for PCI non-compliance fee. I kept asking them to refund the charges and they said they would do so, but they have not done so to date.

Finally someone called me saying he was my account manager and said that they would credit 3 months of the fees only. When I insisted that they credit the full amount he said that he could give me a couple more months if I signed a document, but would not give any more as Global was not liable for anything prior to their take over of EVO. I refused to sign anything as I knew it was there way of stopping me from voicing my displeasure with their company.

A new portal was provided to me on which I was able to correct our information and complete the PCI compliance, but they continue to charge the non-compliance fee.

Trying to call them takes an hour or more, probably from all the people calling to complain about their services. Before Global, EVO customer assistance used to quickly answer calls and were very helpful; but now they are very unresponsive.

I am now looking to change providers after having been with them for decades, but I have yet to find a reputable company that doesn’t try to hide their charges. This industry makes their charges so complex and confusing that it is almost impossible to compare companies.

Very disappointed with EVO/Global’s response to this situation.

Was quoted a rate, in writing. Statement reflected wrong rate, contacted EVO to fix/refund. This has been ongoing for over a year. Then they tell me they will give me a better rate, but only with no refund. THEN told I can get the rate and refund, but only over the course of a year. Stop the manipulation, you can’t have it both ways… next stop is State Attorney and the bank they are an ISO/MSP of.

I just was on the phone with them after receiving a $495 cancelation fee. We have been customers of them for 20 years. They said the account renews yearly and we had to give 90 day written notice to cancel to avoid fees. We were not aware of this rule. They would not let us reinstate the account and regardless the fees would not be removed. That is not how you treat any customer none the less one who has been with you for 20 years. Their rating should be an F

As far as I can tell, this company has a criminal pattern and practice of giving its customers the “run around” as a way of avoiding its legal obligations. I owned a small, successful, auto repair business in Denver Colorado. I was a customer of Evo Payments for over 12 years, and had 3 “chargebacks” during that time, all of which we won. I closed my business in September, 2022, and won the last chargeback dispute shortly thereafter. Evo placed the funds that were once in dispute into a “reserve account” and has refused to provide my money to me, despite repeated phone calls and correspondence with them. On September 8th of 2023 I received a letter from them asking for information necessary to disburse the funds, and which, informed me that they were going to charge my “reserve account $90 a month unless I provide them with that information! I promptly provided them that information in the form of a letter, and THE RUN AROUND CONTINUED! I’ve since called them multiple times, and have been given all sorts of inaccurate and untrue explanations, including: “we issued you a check” , “we attempted to wire the funds into your account, but the wire failed” “we will have someone in dispute resolution get right on this and call you”… that are no doubt on their pathetic customers service representative’s “run around script”. I am reporting them to the FTC and the Consumer Protection Agency, and will file a lawsuit against them this week. In the meantime they have held my money, earned through my hard work, for over 13 months. They are reprehensible!

This company apparently has been debiting my personal checking account for the past several months claiming I use them for bank card processing. First, I’ve never heard of this company. Second, I’ve been using Elavon Merchant Services since 2008, never this company. The supervisor of EVO has not returned any phone messages and the “application” they claim to have on file has my wife’s personal information and a forged signature from my wife, who is not an officer or employee or able to sign any documents for my company and never had. This is a serious problem. I’ve contacted an attorney.

They are the worst ripoff around. They love to hold onto your money if your sales go above the expectations of the agent who signed you. Lousy customer service and it cost me over $500 to leave them but well worth the cost for peace of mind. SO NOT GO NEAR THESE PEOPLE AND THEIR LOCAL AFFILIATES ARE TRUE THIEVES AND incompitants.

Evo payments is a company that apparently boasts about their huge success and billions made but fail to tell you how they make their money. They lure small businesses into using their services and then make it very hard to cancel, requiring a written cancellation letter. I believe I did cancel but discovered over 10 years later that they were still taking money out of my account. At first, it wasn’t much but as years passed I guess they got more greedy and started taking out even more than my current provider which is why it caught my attention. All those years, no e-mail, no letters or statements that let me know what they were doing. It was listed as a processing fee which is why I thought it was just another of the many fees we as small business owners get hit with. It took my bank over 30 minutes to figure out who it was taking the money too. Then when I discovered it, they acted as if they were doing me a huge favor by refunding only 3 months of the money they were taking out of my account for no service.. If this isn’t against the law, it should be and laws should be passed that require corporations to send a written statement of the money they are taking out of your account and why at the very least annually. So many of these credit card providers seem to be con artists so please beware! Wouldn’t be nice to live in a world where others treated you the way they want to be treated? Sad, but this seems like a long past virtue so now we find that we can hardly trust anyone when it comes to business matters. Greed is rampant!

Stay faf far away. The business model is to make a fortune in fees and make it impossible to cancel and avoid early termination fee even after 3 years. Total crooks. Anybody else

My company has processed hundreds of thousands of dollars through EVO and I have never had an issue. Yesterday, without any warning, I received a collection letter from Brown & Joseph on behalf of Evo for $693.75. I certainly felt this was some sort of error I needed to get cleared up because not only did I have NO knowledge of this debt but to find out my pristine credit would be affected was very upsetting. I have zero clue how they arrived at this, even after knowing I have documented proof to dispute this

I reached out to EVO rep Kelly today and explained I have been closed down since last year as I could no longer operate as COVID restrictions made it nearly impossible to resume my business. I told her I have many emails to support this and that my business has been non operational for some time now. She first said this is an early termination fee as your account was opened in 2019. I told her no, that is incorrect. I have been with EVO since 2017. She continued to argue with me until I said I have a welcome letter dated 1/10/17 to prove this. After a long extended hold she then comes back with the news I have 3 accounts and one dating 1/18/19 was subject to early termination. I told her I have only ONE ACCOUNT I would have no need for three accounts having one business. She then came back with well it is because you terminated early with these other accounts which she could not articulate what these accounts were and that my contract had auto renewal. I explained clearly that I have lots of emails to support that I advised your CSR that I was closing my business and NEVER at any time was I advised via email, phone or regular mail of any early termination fee nor an amount. She was rude, not helpful at all, would NOT escalate the call to her supervisor and said that this call does not constitute a supervisor’s involvement. I told her that I had correspondence with Anotnio Richardson (who is no longer there) and she said she didn’t have access to his emails with me. I have contacted BBB am waiting for help TOTAL DECEPTIVE PRACTICE

EVO is despetive, they sent me equipment and I sent it all back three days later because I own my own. this was back in 2020 they closed my account and three months later started charging me. today after responding too a email I sent them the deductions started to double trying to come from my account. My account is so screwed up from them now I am forced to close it and open a new one. They said I will hear something in the next three days on if my refund is approved or not.

this is the worst company I have ever dealt with they took fees way over and above and it takes for ever to cancel your acct and thy don’t have a proper set up for doing so and all they do is put you on hold until you hang up . I unfortunately had 2 accounts with them .

Beware of this company’s practices of how they charge your account. They wouldn’t allow a large deposit into my account and reversed the deposit but still charged service charges. They required 3 months of bank statements before they would put the money into my bank which has absolutely nothing to do with the deposit, if anything, they should check with the company putting money INTO anybody’s account. Subsequently they charged nearly $4000 in processing fees for doing NOTHING. The company is doing criminal practices AGAINST it’s customers. Avoid at all costs. Because of their creed they lost a client that they processed over a million dollars a year for. POS company!

Do not use this company.. They’ve been holding my funds in a reserve account for months now and when I look back at my bank account there were also fees taken out that I wasn’t aware of and when I call all the customer service reps have been saying they’ll email the risk department and supervisor and no one never gets back to me I’m currently trying to figure out how to get my money back from them! You’ve been warned!

very bad customer service.. they never answer the calls. If they answer the phone, the person don’t know anything. They always say they will ask to his manager and get back to us. Nothing will happen. They have hidden charges, other fees, miscellaneous fees..and what not. Horrible services. Be aware people. They are big traps.

Our bank account has been debited since 2015 for a service we never used, I thought that the charges were from our current processor (EVO name was not on the ACH it was displayed as “BKCD Processing”). Only then I came to find out that the charges were with Evo. I did some digging and found that they debited our account $1.75 monthly from the end of 2015 through May 2019 then in June 2019 through April 2021 they have been debiting $26.75(They charged us more money for being “INACTIVE”). I called and spoke with Johanna from EVO and asked her to send me a signed agreement or contract showing that we agreed to use their service, she said that she would find it and send it over. I called to follow up and the extension she gave me did not work, I ended up going in circles with several phone calls only to find out that we do not have an agreement on file and we have never even processed a single transaction through them. We have never seen any emails/postal correspondence from EVO Payments.

Do not use Evo Payments for your merchant services. I had an agreement with them that they would keep 10% of every charge in case of chargebacks. After holding that 10% for 6 months, they would automatically transfer the money to my account.

Once I stopped using their service to process my payments. they stopped sending me money–the money that is mine in case of chargebacks. I have tried to collect the funds multiple times but they give me the runaround.

They are a terrible company to deal with and should be avoided at all costs.

Customer Service is appalling in not being truthful about interactions. After an email was sent notifying EVO of our intent to cancel at the end of our contract term, with notice given in advance of the 90 day period, EVO cancelled the contract and charged us a $250 early termination fee. When we called to dispute this charge and referred to the email stating “end of the contract term”, the customer service personnel dissembled in saying they had spoken to the treasurer who confirmed it. They did not speak to the treasurer. When the treasurer called, the story changed to “well, we called you four times.” No message was left. No email was sent to the account. In other words, they simply shut down the account early to charge an extra $250. They told him they would not reopen the account, they would not provide an escalation point, etc. Sleezy group to be sure. We’ll be filing a BBB complaint.

EVO Payments is a complete scam!! Do not use them under any circumstances!!

They stole $4,280.34 from us over the time period of several years (month by month). They never provided us with any service at all and they never provided us with any statements. Their name was disguised on our bank account as “bank processing” even though they were never providing any service. We thought it was a legitimate processing charge as we do other merchant processing, but it was not. They just started withdrawing money from our account every month.

We were told they would provide us with a refund for half the amount but did not. We followed up on the one half refund over 10x but in the end the “denied” the refund. Keep in mind they themselves said that over the entire time they were charging us, they provided us with no services whatsoever!

We are now going to our bank to fight these charges and try to get our money back for this theft.

I urge you to go to a different processor as EVO Payments is a dishonest, unethical, and criminal organization. They are thiefs!
