National Bankcard Reviews
National Bankcard Overview
National Bankcard, founded in 2004 and headquartered in Melville, New York, is a U.S.-based payment processing provider offering merchant services to businesses across various industries. The company provides solutions such as credit and debit card processing, ACH payments, and support for digital wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay. National Bankcard offers point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Clover Station, Clover Mini, and Clover Flex, as well as mobile card readers and online processing services through Authorize.Net. Their services cater to various business types, including retail, restaurants, e-commerce, and mobile businesses. The company emphasizes transparent pricing, offering a cash discount program designed to help merchants offset processing fees. National Bankcard operates as a registered Independent Sales Organization (ISO) of PNC Bank, N.A., Pittsburgh, PA. While the company highlights 24/7 customer support and next-day funding, some reviews have noted concerns regarding contract terms and fees.
Online reputation and reviews
Despite its affiliation with iPayment, National Bankcard is the subject of only a couple dozen negative reviews across all consumer protection websites. The available complaints are scattered in the issues they mention, which range from fund holds to poor customer service to billing errors. The company’s low complaint total may be largely attributable to its prominently advertised “no cancellation fee” policy, which, again, is atypical of an iPayment reseller.
Legal actions and lawsuits
There are no outstanding or recently resolved legal actions related to National Bankcard at this time.

TRUE STORY International Cutmasterz Barbershop Inc.
Don’t walk. RUN…… …..IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!!!!!!! Or, proceed with extreme caution!!!!
I am the CEO of International. Cutmasterz Barbershop Inc. Located at 890 Middle Country Road. Selden, Ny. 11784.
I opened my second location in 2022. March 15th. First location opened in 2000! I sought to retain the services of a Credit card reader to handle my card transactions. During a telephone consultation in May 2022, this company appeared to be a good suit. So, I signed up. The fees appeared to be comparable to what the average company charged. So, I went with it. Fast forward to April 2025. For the past few months (at least), I noticed that the funds in my business account appeared to be OFF! My first thought was that one or more of my staff had figured out a way to steal by submitting fake receipt, or whatever. So, moving forward, my account was negative by $260.00 on April 1, 2025. However, being that I rendered services to one client totaling $170.00 and, within the same week, I also witnessed several haircut transactions ranging from $35-$70.00 within the same week. Suffice it to say, I personally witnessed transactions that should have reasonably EXCEEDED the negative balance reflected in the aforementioned account. So, I placed a call to National Bankcard’s customer service number to inquire about the transactions mentioned above, and the inconsistancies that I’ve witnessed. To my disbelief, I was met with sarcasm, unprofessionalism demeaning, disrespectful, and downright NASTY customer service reps, who angrily responded “We conducted a RANDOM audit of your account. You did nothing to trigger this. We do it periodically. We didn’t find anything. However there is a lot of fraud out there.” Be advised that the aforementioned exchange is not verbatim. However, it is the jist of the exchange! I’d like to emphasize that they were rude, obnoxious, unapologetic,….. and quite frankly, I found it to be appalling, to say the least. I asked to speak with a supervisor. The customer service rep briskly obliged. This supervisor mimicked the energy that was displayed by the previous rep. It was only until I mentioned in my most humble tone, “This is not fair. I depend on the money in my account to pay BILLS for my small business that is relatively NEW, considering that we opened in March 2022, at the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. While this may seem like a minor amount to you, it’s major to me!!! Also, my account has amassed a few hundred dollars in insufficient funds fees! At this point, the supervisor began to bring down his tone and demeanor. I finally caught his HUMAN side! This supervisor then said to me “We do not have to TELL you about the audit (in the most respectable tone that Ive contended with thus far).”. At that point I insisted that “That may be your policy. And, I respect that. But at a minimum, I should’ve been warned that my account would be FROZEN, due to said audit. This way, I can be afforded the opportunity to make whatever necessary arrangements to keep my lights on , and my doors open!” At this point supervisor states: “Well, we didn’t find anything. You do good business. We will release your funds today.”. I thanked him and hung up. I then, called my bank. Bank Of America, to make them abreast of the atrocity of a hand, that I had been dealt by National Bank card. To my surprise, when they released the funds, and it was reflected in my business account. It ACTUALLY AMOUNTED TO ALMOST $7,000!!!!!! My account had been frozen for SIX (6) MONTHS!!!!! I didn’t notice it because I make weekly deposits (cash), and I have independent contractors that pay me via zelle. So, given the nature of these deposits and transactions, coupled with deposits paid to my account which originated from profits seen from my ATM machine, this FOUL is very easy to MISS. My taxes are due March 15th, as is all businesses. Historically, my accountant files for an extension, which gives me until October to file. Rest assured, MY ACCOUNTANT would’ve caught it very easily!!!! Conclusivel, in a nutshell…. I’ve had a very, very emotionally TAXING month (or past several months), or so!!!! Moral of the story is……what I THOUGHT was an inconvenience (at best), totaling perhaps $600+$700, turned out to be a WHOLE $7000 DISRESPECTFUL (I can almost call it a), CRIME!!!!!!!? I WAS…………LIVID!!!!!
In closing. I immediately made contact with a company called “CLOVER”. And, I ordered a “Point Of Sale System” with a CASH DRAW. This system more than meets my needs, and some. Not only can I conduct my day to day transactions, I can manage my products inventory (yes. I have a line of products custom tailored with my logo, International Cutmasterz Inc). I can also balance my books, and set up all kinds of things at a push of a button. Thank God for a happy ending! I apologize for this long review. But I pray that it helps at least ONE …. preferably a multitude of business owners who may not be aware of (what can only be described as), “Shady practices”, at best, exhibited by a company I contracted with to handle my most prized asset! My MONEY!!!. Next. I will see if bank of America will forgo the enormous amount of fees that my account has amasse, or……I will consider legal action to recoup those fees, and I will ask a judge to order that company to pay me interest on the $7,000 they kidnapped and held hostage for ½ of a year, as well as any other relief the courts may seem appropriate, as it pertains to pain & suffering! STAY WOKE!!!!

Terrible company. ask for your information. and then start asking for more.. I GAVE THEM MY BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER, HOME ADDRESS #SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER NOW THEY WANT MY PROCESSING STATEMENTS NOT GOOD. PLEASE TELL CUSTOMERS THAT FEOM BEGINNINNG NEXT I’M GLAD I CAUGHT THIS FROM THE BEGINNING BYE NOW CALL BANK HAVE BLOCKED
Just a terrible experience. Non-transparent fees, and they close your account without any warning or notice. As you can see with all the other comments – they also basically hold your funs if they close (without telling you). They need a class action against them.
I could not even get their transactions and fee rates with being willing to give my banking account information. Scumbags waist of time.
They are calling and harassing me despite repeatedly telling them not to. They are offering to pay me $150.00 to change a negative review I made online about them to a positive one. I now see why they have high praise online because I’ve had nothing but terrible experiences with them and I can only imagine countless others have been paid off by them to change their reviews. I however have integrity.
They will tie up legitimate transactions and demand privileged information from you and for you to waste many hours of your time to get it released. Furthermore they hit your bank account on file with totally UNAUTHORIZED charges and only when you spot them and threaten to file a charge back do they say “sorry it was a mistake and we will refund those”. This company is a complete FRAUD everything from their reviews to their billing practices is a complete sham built upon them paying people for reviews. RUN RUN RUN use anyone BUT THEM…. Pay the extra $100 per hundred to the company who has the name of a shape, it will save you thousands in lost time, hassle, bogus charges and harassment!!!
Horrible,When I joined joined them l gave them everything and they even asked me the take picture of my checks and send to but still everything got messed up,l went for big sell on may 7 until now the money is not yet in my account, and I’m glad I didn’t used the card that much because it was not working, I did three transaction,$52/26/260 and the they told me that only 270 will go to my account, I am definitely looking forward to go to PayPal when I finish to resolve this issue
Horrible company very unprofessional they will close your account and hold your funds for no reason, Mary from operations is horrible stay away.
