Alpine Payment Systems gave us the tools we needed without pushing extras we didn’t ask for. The setup was handled professionally, and the system has worked reliably. When we had questions about a chargeback, their support team responded clearly and quickly.

Alpine Payment Systems Company Overview

Alpine Payment Systems is a merchant services provider based in Vancouver, Washington, established in 2008. The company offers payment processing solutions, including credit and debit card transactions, point-of-sale (POS) systems, virtual terminals, e-commerce gateways, mobile payments, ACH and eCheck processing, gift and loyalty programs, and merchant cash advances. Alpine operates as an Independent Sales Organization (ISO) and partners with processors such as First Data and Chase Paymentech.

In 2018, Alpine was acquired by TouchSuite but continues to operate under its original brand.

The company’s pricing model includes a swiped and keyed-in transaction rate ranging from 1.00% to 4.99%, with a virtual terminal rate of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. Additional fees include a $25 monthly payment gateway fee, a $199 annual PCI compliance fee, a $19.95 monthly non-compliance fee, and a batch fee of $0.10. Early termination fees can be up to $350, and equipment leases are typically locked into 48-month terms.

Alpine has received over 40 negative reviews online, with common complaints citing high early termination fees, costly equipment leases, aggressive sales tactics, and poor customer service. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) does not accredit Alpine and has not assigned a rating, with complaints being handled by another BBB.
