Chase Merchant Services Customer Reviews

Chase Merchant Services Company Overview

Chase Merchant Services is the payment processing division of JPMorgan Chase. It provides businesses with tools to accept credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallet payments in-store, online, and via mobile devices. Services include point-of-sale (POS) systems, e-commerce gateways, virtual terminals, and recurring billing options. Chase Merchant Services supports integration with software platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, and QuickBooks. As a direct processor and acquiring bank, Chase handles both the front-end and back-end of transactions, which can streamline payment settlement. The company also offers fraud prevention tools and PCI compliance support. Pricing is custom-quoted and may include flat-rate or interchange-plus options depending on business size and volume. While Chase’s large infrastructure provides stability and security, some users report long setup times and varied customer service experiences.

My wife has a small business account with this bs company and they have been holding her funds. 4600 dollars total for two weeks now and their not so helpful customer service is giving us the runaround. We HIGHLY recommend that you go with another company because this one will rob you.

Chase merchant service has caused us several negative reviews due to not processing refunds timely. We have had cases where it took over a month for our clients to get their refunds!

Worst merchant service ever! Stay far, far away from Chase. I processed my first transaction for $535.00, and instead of smoothly completing the process, I received an email asking for a bunch of extra documents to verify the transaction. Fine, I sent everything—invoice, email exchanges with the client, you name it. And guess what? Even after all that, the transaction was still REFUSED. Now, I’m stuck going back to my client to explain this disaster. It’s completely embarrassing and unacceptable. Absolutely horrendous service. I’m done.

Worst services I have ever seen. They keep you 3 hours on phone. Then they can’t figure out the problem. They send a new machine which still has problem and not working, and no one accept any responsibility.

worst customer service ever. call center reps double talk you and then just transfer you, after already being on hold for 1.5 hours. this after being told our machine is obsolete. so they just shut us down… million dollar business with no way to take payments for 2 days then paying staff to sit on hold all day to try and get resolution…….. switching providers asap. my advice? stay away from chase.

Do not process with Chase Merchant Services – they cannot process debit refunds without a 30min phone call to Chase. They will give you a case number and maybe your customer will get their money or maybe Chase will refund them the full amount and steal from you regularly like they do me. Either way, run for the hills. I process 150k a mo or more and they are not built for this level of processing. Refunds for debit cards are a literal nightmare. Also, I’ve had other issues such as customer banks telling them they are blocking the transaction despite everything going through and $$$ hitting the bank. They quote me 22 basis points but I would pay more for better services, probably going back to Stax or similar.

Stay away from chase, especially if you’re a small business. They set up my numbered company. I told them I had 2D. B. A’s that were not articled, but my numbered company is on every invoice.

As soon as I did anything with my second d b a, they put it into review, took them fourteen days to even tell me what the problem was. And now they are closing my account.

The sales rep set up. My account is just gonna throw this back on me and say I should have only been doing business under one of my D. B. As. Even though the account is set up under my numbered company in every invoice includes my numbered company.

You get the garbage service. You’d expect from a giant company that doesn’t give a crap about you.

Stay away from Chase!! They will hold your money and flat tell you they are doing it cause they can. As a small business I’ve lost jobs because they decided to hold money for no reason. I filed a complaint with the comptroller of currency and their response was the same. They stated they can hold your money if they want too. I will be seeking legal advice and looking into a class action suit against them.

USER BEWARE

If you use the Chase Quick Accept card reader or manually enter a cc number to accept a payment for services you’ve provided and/or materials you’ve already paid for, be ready for Chase to hold your money for a full 5 business days and give you little to no information while you wait. If you’re a family owned small business like us and just starting out, you need the income from your sales to help cover your daily operating costs and this service makes it really hard to do that because of the holds. Not to mention how frustrating their customer service is when they won’t give you a straight answer as to where the money is and why it isn’t in the account when the transaction is showing “Completed” on your banking app. I will definitely be going back to Square
