Exceleron Company Overview
Exceleron Software, founded in 1999 and headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is a utility-focused software company best known for its MyUsage platform. MyUsage provides cloud-based tools for prepaid utility billing, customer engagement, and real-time consumption monitoring, allowing electric, water, and gas utilities to offer customers more flexible payment options and improve revenue collection. The platform integrates with smart meters, customer information systems, and a wide network of payment channels, supporting prepaid billing, account management, and energy conservation programs. In May 2024, Exceleron merged with PayGo Utilities, a company specializing in utility payment processing, to form a new parent organization called Empower Grid Holdings. Through this merger, Exceleron and PayGo continue to operate under their respective brands but now deliver a combined “meter-to-cash” solution that unites prepaid billing, payment processing, customer engagement, and smart utility management across North America and international markets.
