FirstData Resources Company Overview
First Data Resources, LLC is a division of the former First Data Corporation, founded in 1971 in Omaha, Nebraska. It provides credit and debit card processing, prepaid card services, marketing solutions, and commercial payment systems. The company works with merchants, financial institutions, and card issuers to facilitate secure and efficient transaction processing. In 1995, First Data Resources merged with First Financial Management Corporation, creating a larger organization that operated across three primary areas: merchant services, card issuing, and payment instruments. First Data expanded over the years through multiple acquisitions and technology upgrades, processing billions of transactions annually and connecting millions of merchant locations worldwide. In 2019, First Data Corporation was acquired by Fiserv, Inc., integrating its services into Fiserv’s broader payment technology offerings while retaining the First Data Resources operational brand in certain areas.
