The company offers an online payment gateway, virtual terminal, hosted checkout pages, recurring billing, ACH support, shopping cart integrations, and developer APIs. Its services are designed primarily for card-not-present and ecommerce merchants, with additional retail and professional-services offerings.
GoEmerchant was acquired by First American Payment Systems, and First American Payment Systems was acquired by Deluxe Corporation in June 2021 for approximately $960 million. As a result, GoEmerchant now operates under the Deluxe Merchant Services umbrella and uses "by Deluxe" branding alongside the GoEmerchant name. Payment processing for GoEmerchant accounts is routed through the First American platform.

GoEmerchant does not publish a complete fee schedule on its website. Rates are quoted individually to merchants based on industry, transaction volume, and processing history.
According to user reviews and expert content, GoEmerchant charges an annual PCI compliance fee of approximately one hundred twenty dollars. Standard contracts are reported as three-year agreements with an automatic renewal clause and an early termination fee in the range of four hundred ninety-five dollars. Reviews also note that GoEmerchant has advertised mobile processing rates "as low as zero point eight nine percent," but that this rate applies only to transactions categorized as non-qualified, which is typically a small portion of a merchant's transaction mix.
