Bonterra/Network for good salesperson initially pitched us a contract for $3600/500 donors but we pushed back to say we have less than 1000 active donors currently so he revised his pitch to $2400 at the lowest tier. Then he left and the contract was $3600 which they said would be revised but never was. We never used the software — too confusing and time consuming. They will not answer any requests acknowledging their over billing or refund the fee, or the overcharge.

Network for Good in general is awful. Customer service is nonexistent. Switching or partnering with Bonterra really made a negative impact on our experience.

At the get-go, the person assisting with our organization’s account set-up put us under the wrong EIN number and was sending our donor check to a city across the state. Fixing that was a nightmare as they provided no solutions, just continued transferring me to multiple customer service agents only to explain the situation over and over again with no resolution.

This was just one instance out of MANY that led us to canceling all services.

As a non-profit organization who relies on donations to move our projects forward, agreeing to use the Network for Good donor database has been a big mistake.

The donor data is inaccurate and NFG inability to allow ‘donors’ to donate directly from our website has incurred great concern from our prior monthly donors. They just don’t trust the NFG system and instead continue to use Donorbox.

Lesson learned.

Having said that, we chose to move away from NFG in early October 2022; to instead promote a place where our donors feel respected, confident, and heard.

We are a volunteer organization, KindTree-Autism Rocks at Kindtree.org, which entered into an agreement that if our funding did not surpass the year before, our $5000.00 payment would be promptly refunded. We applied for the refund in June and after very many attempts to find our refund status over several months we were told some times the refund was approved then under consideration then approved and to be deposited in three days then pending then by the weekend and now we still have not seen a deposit. I feel we are due a prime interest rate on the $5000.00 they have now been holding for 5 months beyond the refund’s first approval. Do not do business with Network for (their own) Good.
