Washington Hospitality Association Company Overview

Washington Hospitality Association is a nonprofit trade organization representing over 6,000 members in Washington State’s hotel, restaurant, and broader hospitality industry. Formed in 2016 by the merger of the Washington Restaurant Association (established in 1929) and the Washington Lodging Association (formed in 1920), it supports restaurateurs, hoteliers, and other hospitality professionals through advocacy, education, training, and cost-saving programs. Its activities include lobbying state and local governments, providing workforce development and safety training (e.g. food safety, alcohol service), offering credentialing (ServSafe, etc.), publishing industry resources, and negotiating group discounts (insurance, business services). The association also produces toolkits, handbooks, webinars, and advisory support to help members navigate regulatory, labor, and operational challenges. It is based in Olympia, Washington.
