US Alliance Group is a payment processing company that offers many different services, including EMV terminals, Clover family of POS products, ATM machines, and mobile payment solutions.
The company has a 48-month contract with a liquidated damages early termination fee and has received 35 complaints.
According to Electronic Cash Systems reviews, the standard contract for a USAG/ECS merchant account is a 36-48 month agreement with a liquidated damages clause that holds the merchant responsible for the average monthly processing costs or $100 for each remaining month.
The company’s website does not disclose the rate structure or other fees for their payment processing service. Merchants should refer to reviews of First Data (Fiserv) or Global Payments to familiarize themselves with their fees and terms.

At the time of our last review, a merchant had been charged $4229.70 for their services, which was confirmed by a company representative.
USAG appears to be embroiled in two lengthy lawsuits. Dissatisfied merchants should report the company to appropriate supervisory organizations.
Electronic Cash Systems was rated “B-” by the Better Business Bureau before a Los Angeles branch was closed. The company received 28 complaints from customers, of which 13 were resolved.
The BBB maintains a profile for ECS. The company has received 0 complaints and has been accredited as of May, 2019.
USAG/Electronic Cash Systems appears to utilize sub-ISOs and independent sales agents to market its services. In the past, Electronic Cash Systems enforced its agents’ terms.
Most USAG customers were told there was no early termination fee, only to be charged a liquidated damages clause that will cost them far more. This is common among credit card processors and should be avoided.
The BBB rated US Alliance Group as Electronic Cash Systems a below-average merchant services provider with a high complaint rate and numerous complaints about sales practices.
Electronic Cash Systems’ sales representative misrepresented the third party contract with the credit card company. The contract had grossly excessive liquidated damages clauses and the company ignored my client’s calls, and eventually forced my client to litigate.
