I have been using ProPay for my online business for a few months now and have been very satisfied with their service. The processing rates are competitive and the customer support is top-notch. I’ve had a few disputes arise and their team has been quick to resolve them. Overall, I would definitely recommend ProPay to other businesses looking for a reliable credit card processing solution.

ProPay Company Overview

ProPay is a U.S.-based payment processing company founded in 1997 and currently operates as a subsidiary of Global Payments Inc. The company provides merchant services tailored primarily to small businesses, independent contractors, and micro-merchants. ProPay offers solutions for credit and debit card processing, including virtual terminals, mobile payment systems, and online payment acceptance. Its services include options for recurring billing, invoicing, and electronic funds transfers. ProPay also supports marketplace-style transactions, allowing businesses to pay sub-merchants or affiliates. The platform is PCI DSS compliant and includes security features such as encryption and tokenization to protect sensitive data. ProPay accounts are structured around an annual fee with flat-rate pricing, which may appeal to low-volume merchants. The company is commonly used by direct sellers and home-based businesses, although some users have reported concerns about limited customer support and account holds during risk reviews.

Online reputation and reviews

ProPay has received very few complaints across all consumer protection websites, particularly in the years since it was acquired by TSYS. The fifty or so complaints that are currently available mention issues like fund holds, difficulty cancelling service, technological issues, and slow response times by customer service reps. Again, the company’s total complaint rate is remarkably low for its size, and the content of these complaints is generally not concerning.

Legal actions and lawsuits
