Had my card for 3 years, I’ve never missed or been late a single payment. They will not increase my $300 limit, but are more than happy to charge me $30 for going over my limit by $2. But if I tried to go over my limit $100 they declined it. There’s also a yearly fee of $60. I’ve likely paid $300 just in fees since I’ve had this card. They’re a horrible company that wants to charge you fees rather than being a high quality credit company. I wouldn’t recommend capital one to even those with the worst credit cuz that’s who they are trying to entrap. I’d recommend Canadian Tire and American Express are far beyond better. Do not do business with these shysters. I imagine most of these ratings are fake and paid for by capital one.

Capital One Merchant Services Company Overview

Capital One Merchant Services offers payment processing solutions tailored for small and medium-sized businesses across various industries. Powered by a partnership with Worldpay from FIS, the service enables businesses to accept a wide range of payment methods, including major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), EMV chip cards, contactless payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay), PayPal, and gift cards. Merchants can utilize smart terminals, mobile readers, and hosted web pages to process transactions, with most funds available in their bank accounts the next day.

The platform provides tools for fraud protection, transparent reporting, and customer insights to help businesses manage cash flow and mitigate risks. Capital One Merchant Services caters to various industries, including retail, restaurants, eCommerce, healthcare, and professional services.

Pricing varies based on transaction type: in-person transactions are charged at 2.55% plus $0.15 per transaction, online transactions at 2.90% plus $0.30, and keyed-in transactions at 3.45% plus $0.20. A monthly minimum fee of up to $30 may apply if the monthly processing threshold is not met.

While Capital One provides the merchant services under its branding, the actual processing and customer support are handled by Worldpay. This arrangement means that merchants primarily interact with Worldpay for service-related matters.
