At first Helcim was smelling like roses. After about 9 months and at the end of our relationship, it smelled like trash. After numerous successful, large transactions through the Helcim platform, they flagged one transaction as suspected fraud and proceeded with a lengthy credit risk process. All the time holding a large sum of our funds hostage even though they approved the charge to our customers credit card. This has gone on for over ten days so far and has no end in sight. After numerous calls and messages, we are left waiting for funds to show up. We submitted complaints with the FTC and CFPB. But that does not help our small, veteran owned business pay the bills while the fat cats hold the funds.
I had joined them believing that they had competitive rates, but their credit card fee has always been about 0.5% higher than what they advertise as their interchange plus rate. If it turns out to be true, their pricing is far fron transparently. I called customer support and was on hold for over 30 mins. Have started looking for another vendor.
