I found out if you are processing over $5000 per month with Square it is a rip off. I have never seen a Square rep in my store. I am unable to process most payments from my customers that prefer to swipe instead of chip. I will be getting free equipment from new provider. Upset that I had to pay $150 for a square stand. Jack Dorsey is the new CEO and he is an enemy of free speech since he was in charge of twitter censoring conservative voices prior to his Square hire. How will he start censoring complaints of square customers now?

This company is a total scam. I was a MD in China and Licensed Acupuncturist of Texas. I swear to GOD. They are unethical and play like gansters, i ‘ve only seen business like Square in communist China. They just deactivate my account for no reason. And they don’t even give you any reason even though i just bought a $150 stand from them.

They wrote that in their general service terms. Item 12 “We can terminate or deny you access to our services at any time, for any reason.” and their Email reply is: ” we cannot provide additional details about why or how we came to this decision.”

Square Register Company Overview

Square Register is a point-of-sale (POS) hardware and software solution developed by Block, Inc. (formerly Square, Inc.), designed for small and mid-sized businesses that need an all-in-one payment and sales system. It includes a dual-screen countertop terminal with a built-in card reader and touchscreen interfaces for both the customer and the merchant. The system runs Square’s POS software natively and does not require an external tablet or computer. Square Register supports payment methods such as EMV chip cards, contactless payments (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay), and magnetic stripe cards. It connects to Wi-Fi or Ethernet and includes USB ports for integrating peripherals like receipt printers, barcode scanners, or cash drawers. Businesses can manage inventory, track sales, and generate reports directly from the Register interface or through the Square dashboard. There are no monthly software fees for basic use, but Square charges transaction fees starting at 2.6% + 10¢ per in-person payment. Square Register is commonly used by retailers, cafes, and service providers seeking a reliable and modern POS setup.
