About Stellar Payment Systems
Overview
Stellar Payment Systems, also marketed as SPS and Stellar Payments, is a Florida-based merchant services provider headquartered in Miami. The company is registered with the Florida Division of Corporations as Stellar Payment Systems LLC and operates as a registered ISO/MSP of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. and Fifth Third Bank, N.A. Its underlying payment processing is provided through a reseller relationship with First Data, now operating as Fiserv.
Products and Services
The company sells credit and debit card processing for in-person, keyed, mail-order/telephone-order, and e-commerce transactions, along with ACH services and acceptance of mobile wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Point-of-sale hardware is built around the Clover platform, and the company also markets its own branded 'Piggy Bank' POS bundle. Stellar Payment Systems also offers a cash discount program intended to pass card-acceptance costs through to customers who choose to pay by credit card, along with merchant cash advances as a business funding option.
Platform and Software
Stellar Payment Systems promotes a software bundle it calls the Universell platform, which it markets as a suite of business tools covering CRM, inventory, invoicing, employee management, scheduling, loyalty, and e-commerce features in addition to payment acceptance. Some of these features are advertised as requiring a separate payment gateway connection.
Pricing
Processing Rates
Stellar Payment Systems does not publish a complete rate card on its public site, but third-party reviews and industry coverage describe a tiered structure. A flat-rate option is reported at 2.69% plus $0.25 per transaction with no monthly service charge. A Business tier is reported at 1.59% plus $0.25 for swiped transactions and 2.35% plus $0.25 for keyed transactions, paired with a monthly service charge of roughly $69.95. An Enterprise tier is reported as interchange-plus pricing at $0.39 per transaction with a monthly fee of roughly $129. A higher 'Beyond' tier is described as custom-priced for larger merchants. Reviewers note that the qualified rates published on the company's site are not paired with mid-qualified or non-qualified rate disclosures, which can leave the effective cost higher than the advertised rate.
POS and Equipment
The company currently advertises its Piggy Bank POS bundle with a free terminal at a monthly cost of $39.95 for customers who enroll in the cash discount program. An alternative POS package is advertised at an $875 one-time price paired with a swiped rate of 1.75% and a keyed rate of 3.5% plus $0.25 per transaction. Optional add-ons described on the site include AVS at $0.05 per keyed instance, retrieval and chargeback handling at $25 each, voice authorization at $2 per instance, ACH reject at $50, account closure at $50, a wireless service fee of about $19.95 per month, and Clover Go mobile at $10 per month.
Contract Terms
Because the underlying merchant agreement is written through First Data and Fiserv, contract terms are reported by user reviews and expert content to include a PCI compliance fee in the neighborhood of $19.95 per month and an early termination fee that has been cited at up to $495. Prospective merchants are encouraged to confirm the term length, monthly minimum, PCI fee, and termination fee directly on the signed agreement before activating service.

Be careful signing up with Stellar Payments! They are fraud and stole from me $320.
After signing up with there services, they sent me to a PCI compliance company called Matrix which cost me $200.
Then Matrix didn’t pass the PCI “scan” on my website and then sent me emails to complete a “questioner” which is full of technical questions that no normal business owner can answer.
After trying for months to complete the “questioner” I called Matrix and they told me that in order to complete the “questioner” I need to buy a templet for another $200, or use there services to complete it for an extra $700.
After I refused to buy the extra services, Matrix suddenly pass the “scan” without any intervention on my side, but I found out the Stellar payment charged me extra $320 for not having my PCI compliance. When I tried to get refunded, they refused to give me the full refund but gave me an offer to refund half, which I refused. Right now I’m hiring a lawyer to represent me in small courts, and will continue fighting this with various governments and private agencies.
This company it’s all about robbing people don’t work with them
